Family Stories Reading Challenge

Time to gather ‘round! In this Family Stories Reading Challenge we celebrate our histories and stories passed down from generations. Tales of laughter, adventure, and love can carry us through the years. Record your own origin story, listen to stories from loved ones, and read books about families of all shapes and sizes, including those we choose for ourselves. Log your reading and activities to earn badges throughout the challenge.
Pick up a paper challenge tracker available at your local branch. The paper challenge trackers must be returned to your local branch by January 31, 2025, to be entered into the prize draw.
Sign into Beanstack, a website and app, to track completed activities and share resources and reading lists to earn badges and tickets to enter to win prizes.
Track the minutes that you read or listen to a book. Any book counts, it does not need to be related to this challenge. Every 30 minutes earns you a ticket to enter the prize draws. You can earn up to 10 tickets (a total of 300 minutes of reading).
Complete 2 activities in a themed badge to earn that badge. Each badge provides 2 tickets for prize entries. There are 4 badges for a total of 8 tickets that can be earned.
Complete the Winter Challenge Survey and earn an extra 5 tickets for the prize draw. The survey will be open for responses from December 1, 2024, to January 31, 2025.
