Let your love of literacy and the library carry its impact into the future. You can do this in several ways: 

1. Leave a bequest to the ORL in your will. Use this simple “Sample Bequest Wording” (PDF) when writing your will to leave a portion of your estate in support of the ORL. 

2. Let your family know you would like memorial gifts designated to the ORL, so that when they write an obituary, it can include the words “In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Okanagan Regional Library.” 

3. Add to ORL endowments funds at your local community foundation. The ORL has endowment funds with the Shuswap Community Foundation, the Community Foundation of the North Okanagan, the Central Okanagan Foundation, and the Community Foundation of the South Okanagan Similkameen. These endowments can be added to in any amount, with annual income supporting library initiatives in those regions.
