Territorial acknowledgement

The Accessibility & Inclusion Advisory Committee and the ORL want to acknowledge that the ORL’s service area is in the traditional and unceded territories of the Sinixt, K'tunaxa, Secwepemc, and Syilx peoples. Each of these nations have a long and enduring presence on this land and the ORL strives to honour this as we continue to work towards truth and reconciliation. We are grateful to live, work, and learn on these lands and recognize the responsibilities to the land that come with it.

We recognize that other Indigenous nations also have a presence on this land, and we strive to learn and celebrate the culture, history, traditions, and voices of all Indigenous peoples.
