Okanagan Regional Library (ORL) is looking for our next Library Accessibility Assistant! We invite you to bring your expertise and commitment to service excellence to a role where you can make a real difference.
As a member of ORL's Accessibility & Inclusion Advisory Committee, you'll play a key role in activating ORL's Accessibility Plan, working towards an inclusive environment for all.
Ideal candidates will possess a Library Technician diploma or 2 years of academic post-secondary education in liberal arts with an emphasis on critical thinking and communication, backed by at least two years of public facing experience in a public library. With a suite of skills ranging from excellent communication and organizational abilities to proficiency in e-Readers, Microsoft Office, and mobile technology, you'll be well-equipped to handle the diverse needs of these customers. A valid driver's license, physical capability to manage library materials, and a continuous thirst for learning are also essential. Join us in shaping a more accessible and inclusive future at ORL.
