Drag Story Time 2023

Attention all families in the Kelowna region! The Kelowna Downtown branch of Okanagan Regional Library is excited to announce our first-ever Community Reader Story Time Series. We're kicking it off with a special Drag Story Time on Saturday, January 28th, from 11 am to 12 pm.

"The ORL supports and strives to represent all members of our communities." - Danielle Hubbard.

Join us as we welcome Freida Whales, a talented performer and storyteller, as she shares her favourite stories with us in a fun and interactive way. This event is perfect for children of all ages and is sure to be a memorable experience for the whole family.

"After travelling BC doing story times, I'm excited to bring entertainment, positivity, and diversity back to the reading program in my hometown again." - Freida Whales.

The Community Reader Story Time Series is a new program at the Okanagan Regional Library that aims to bring diverse and inclusive programming to our communities. We believe everyone deserves the chance to hear and see themselves reflected in the stories we share, and we're so excited to have Freida Whales lead this inaugural event.

Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to celebrate diversity and inclusivity with your loved ones. We hope to see you there!
