The Okanagan Regional Library (ORL) is delighted to announce the return of our annual Summer Reading Club, a free and engaging program that encourages children and young adults to keep reading and learning throughout the summer season. This year, we're taking participants on a "Journey Through Time" with an awesome array of prizes, contests, and activities, for a fun-filled summer.
The Summer Reading Club runs from July 8th to September 9th and is designed to stimulate a love for reading and learning outside of school. Children and parents can register at any ORL branch or easily online at www.orl.bc.ca/summer-reading-club.
"We're thrilled to invite young readers to join us on a time-travelling adventure this summer," said Danielle Hubbard, CEO of ORL. "Reading opens doors to different times, places, and experiences. Our Summer Reading Club provides a platform for children to continue their educational journey in an enjoyable and rewarding way during the holidays."
Our theme, "Journey Through Time," invites children to explore different eras, civilizations, and innovations through the power of books. They will have opportunities to win fantastic prizes, engage in interactive activities, participate in riveting reading programs, and create their own time-travelling adventures!
The Summer Reading Club offers a wide range of free activities and programs catering to various age groups and interests. From our Time-Travel Tuesdays to our Dinosaur Discovery Thursdays, there is something for every young reader. Every ORL branch has unique and exciting offerings to provide incentive to keep kids reading all summer.
