Fisrt person stories combine with vivid landscapes and underwater footage, to tell the long hidden story of the Salmon People. Ryga Arts Festival presents: "Bringing the Salmon Home", a film on the Syilx Okanagan, Secwepemc and Ktunaxa Nations' efforts to restore salmon to the mighty Columbia river. After the screening, stay for a Q&A with the Salmon Warriors.

Ryga Arts Festival presents Traditional Storyteller Anona Kampe for an entertaining and interactive story hour. Join Anona as she shares Syilx Okanagan stories called captik (chap-teek). Anona will introduce you to the characters, explain why they are significant and share traditional teachings within the story. Participants can expect a fun and engaging session! Ryga Arts Festival: Brown Bag Art Social celebrating the beauty and plight of the salmon. Pick up your FREE brown bag at the library, create your own piece of art at home, then bring your masterpiece back to the library to display and discuss. Mingle with fellow artists and watch local artist Georgia Goertz's live drawing. Refreshments will be served.

Beginner's welcome! Bring your knitting or crochet project for a crafty afternoon with a great bunch of local knitters. All ages can attend and a pot of tea is always brewing.

Gather with people who are passionate about textile arts to share ideas, techniques and inspiration. All skill levels welcome. All ages, drop in.

Adult Study Room is open with a capacity for 6 people. Reserve up to twice a week, two hour maximum.

Meeting Place is open and available to rent with a capacity for 50 people. Call or visit the branch for more information.

Printing and scan to e-mail is available, .25 per page.
A small but dedicated group of people who volunteer at library events and programs. Proceeds from the sale of donated books are used to help fund children's and adult programs as well as to support the popular Summer Reading Club.
