The Revelstoke Branch is located in the Community Centre on Campbell Avenue. 

When the library is closed there is a book drop bin located outside the main entrance of the building.

Monday: CLOSED
Tuesday: 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Thursday: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday: CLOSED
All branches will be closed April 18th through 21st for the Easter holiday

Free parking is available in the Community Centre parking lot on the south side of the building.

Special Events

Come in and visit Zoe Knuff this week and wish her a happy retirement! Thursday, April 17th is her final day after 17 years as a fantastic Assistant Community Librarian and an amazing one-of-a-kind children's storytime programmer and entertainer. We will all miss her!

Ongoing Children's Programs

Lego Club

Engage your creativity and ingenuity with the library's fantastic Lego collection!  We challenge you to build the greatest contraption imagineable within the time limit and based on the theme of the month. Your creation will be on display in the library for two weeks for everybody to admire. Enter your name each time you attend the club and you might win a prize on May 24th.

Every 4th Saturday, January 25 to May 24, 2014

2:30 to 3:30 PM

For boys and girls aged 6ish and older (no registration necessary)

 

Family Craft Day

We provide the materials and instructions - you do the creating!  Create a craft or piece of art to take home.

Every 1st Saturday, January 4 to May 3, 2014

10:30 AM to 4:30 PM

For children and their caregivers (no registration necessary)

 

Storytimes and Toddlertimes

Springtime Preschool Storytime:

Perfect for children who love stories and might even sit still for them! Puppetry, songs, rhymes, and imagination activities may be included as children are introduced to the joy of reading.

Date: April 3 to May 29, 2014

Time: Thursdays 1:15 to 2:00 PM

For: Parents and children ages 3+ to 5 years

Please register by phone or in person for storytime and toddlertime programs.

We would love to come to your class for a visit or have your class come to the library for a tour and a storytime!  Please give us a call at 250-837-5095 for more information and to set up a time. 

 


 

Adult Programs & Events

Common Threads with Natalie Lebel

Do you knit, crochet, cross-stitch, needlepoint or latch-hook?  Whether you are experienced or just beginning to learn, come and join the fun as we learn together! Participants are asked to bring their own supplies. This is a FREE program and open to all ages.

Date:  Until May 27 on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month

Time:  7:00 to 9:00 PM 

For:     For all ages and and all levels of experience (no registration necessary)

 

Bookclub

Our bookclub is currently full, but please feel free to leave your name with us and a second bookclub will be considered!

Current Displays by Local Artists

We are very proud to be displaying works by local artist Sue Davies.

We also have a fabulous History of Racism in Revelstoke display consisting of six compelling panels by Laura Stovel.

Please contact us if you are a local artist who would like to temporarily display your artwork; we welcome students of art as well.

Exam Invigilation

We provide free proctoring services in the library during any of our open hours.  We have free and unlimited wifi accessibility for your online exams if you have your own device/laptop, or you are welcome to use our public computers if your online exam is less than 60 minutes. Contact Kendra to set up a time.

 


 

Internet Availability

We offer one hour per day of free internet access on our three computers for members of the library as well as non-members.  We also offer unlimited and free internet access for anyone with their own wireless device.

 


 

Meeting Room Availability

Please feel free to use our quiet meeting room for tutoring, studying, formal or informal gatherings when it is not being used for our own programs and events.  The room accommodates approximately 30 people and is available for booking ahead of time.  We have chairs and tables available for use as well.  Please call us at 250-837-5095 or come in for more details.
