Book Drop Open Hours
The library has two book return bins – one behind the library, next to the Canadian Tire loading dock and one inside the mall next to the library entrance and open during mall hours. Book drops are locked during extended closures (Easter and Christmas).

Do you love libraries? Want to help fund programs and events at the Salmon Arm and South Shuswap branches? Join the Friends of the Library!
Next meeting: Monday Oct 23rd at 2pm at the South Shuswap Library.
The Friends of the Library group supports the library through advocacy and fundraising. We have recently helped fund:
- new tables and chairs for our meeting room
- a digital piano, ukuleles, and music stands
- Summer Reading Club programs, events, and prizes for children
- Sphero Educational Robot, littleBits Gizmos and Gadgets kit, Magformers, and other tech equipment for S.T.E.A.M programs
We are looking for new members! If you love the library and would like to join our group, please contact trudy.vercholuk@gmail.com for more information. Annual membership dues are $5.
Friends of the Library Book Sale
The April book sale was a wonderful success, raising over $2200 for the Salmon Arm and South Shuswap libraries. Thank you to all who volunteered at, donated to, and/or supported the book sale!
Next book sale: October 20 and 21 at Piccadilly Mall.
We appreciate book donations from the public of gently used materials. We will happily accept the following items:
- Novels in good condition (hardcover and softcover)
- CDs and DVDs in good condition
- Nonfiction books, with the exceptions noted below
The following materials are not accepted:
- Yellow, musty, moldy, or damaged items, or books in general poor condition
- Encyclopedia sets
- Medical/health, law/legal, computer or travel guides more than 5 years old
- Any other nonfiction books with outdated information
- Magazines
- Readers Digest Condensed Books
