Armstrong Branch to Open on Sundays This Winter

Great news for Armstrong-area library users: the Armstrong Branch will be open on Sundays this winter! Beginning Sunday, October 4, 2026, the branch will welcome patrons every Sunday from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. through March 21, 2027. The expanded hours will provide more opportunities to browse the collection, pick up holds, use library computers and Wi-Fi, attend programs, and enjoy everything the library has to offer.

The new Sunday service has been made possible through funding provided by the City of Armstrong and the Township of Spallumcheen. “This is a wonderful example of what strong community partnerships can achieve,” said ORL CEO Danielle Hubbard. “We know that additional weekend hours make it easier for people to visit the library, and we’re grateful to the City of Armstrong and the Township of Spallumcheen for making this possible.”

Whether you’re looking for your next great read, a cozy place to study, free access to technology, or a welcoming community space, the Armstrong Branch will now be ready to welcome you on Sundays, too. We look forward to seeing you this winter!
