Programs are for ages 5-12 unless noted as an “Everyone Welcome” event. DOORS OPEN AT 6:45 PM.
Participants are reminded to pick up their contest entries every week for a chance to win some great prizes.
Thursday July 5 @ 7 pm – The World of Reptiles
LOOK OUT! Reptiles at the Oliver library. Creeping, crawling, slither and sliding reptiles are coming to the library. Our guest Patrick Lamontagne from the OKANAGAN WORLD OF REPTILES will introduce you to some of his favorite friends. If you are brave enough you might be able to touch them. YIKES!
Thursday July 12 @ 7 pm-- Bubble Wonders
Geoff Akins AKA The Bubble Man will amaze you in the world of bubbles. His amazing bubble tricks include the bubble caterpillar, bubble volcano, the dancing bubble, bubbles inside of bubbles, KID inside a Bubble and so much more. Anything is possible.

Let’s make music together. Beat the drums and move with the rhythm and the rhythm of the beat. Our guest Barb Seiler will introduce us to big and small drums and together we will create some wonderful sounds.

Let Loose with Lego
Visit the library every Saturday from 10:00 - 11:00 am for our free Lego program. Build, create and have fun when we let the library Lego loose! Duplo blocks are available for the younger set. Children ages 4-12 are welcome to participate.
Last Lego June 30. Program will resume in September.
Kids bring your parents into the library and play some board games. New games and old games for you to enjoy. Every Saturday from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. Everyone is welcome.

MakerBot 3D Printer is Coming to the Oliver Library

Join us for this FREE program
The ORL Maker Crew is taking its MakerBot 3D printer on the road. This exciting 3D printer program is for anyone interested in 3D printing, from artists to 3D modellers to Makers. This program is intended for beginners but all levels of knowledge and experience are welcome.
During the program the Maker Crew will demonstrate how the 3D printer works, and its possibilities. The program is packed with hands on activities, demonstrations and discussion. Come prepared to walk away inspired.

Our new lock and charge station individually stores, charges phones, small tablets and mini Ipads. Easy to use and works like a hotel safe. Lock it, leave it, come back to a fully charged device. It's easy and convenient.
The Oliver library offers free internet access on our 8 designated library computers. Patrons are allowed up to one hour of free internet per day.
Unlimited Wi-Fi access is available all day for people with their own devices.
Printing and photocopying is $0.25 per page, black and white only. Scanning to email is available and free of charge.

The Oliver branch’s “Books to Your Door” service is a volunteer program offered by the library that matches homebound readers with a volunteer who will pick up book selections at the library and deliver them.
If you would like to be part of this program either as a volunteer or a recipient please call the library for more information.
The Oliver Branch has a very active Friends of the Library group.
They hold their Annual Book Blast Sale on the first Saturday of July each year.
Donations for their book sale can be dropped off at the Oliver Branch from January to July each year during our open hours or you can call the library to arrange for one of their members to pick up your donations.
The Friends of the Oliver Library are always looking for new members, if you are interested in joining them; please ask at the circulation desk for one of their membership pamphlets.
