Book return slots are located on the parking lot side of the library and are always open except for Halloween night and during our Easter and Christmas closures.

All branches closed on statutory holidays

Free parking is available on the north side of the library building. Handicapped parking is located by the building in the parking lot.  If you require further assistance please contact the library.

Wed. April 15 at 6:30 p.m - Living the Dream

Aubrey Millard will continue with his presentation on their adventures living and sailing on their sailboat the Veleda.  Join them as they sail the Eastern Seaboard.


Arts and Culture Week at the library

 Wednesday, April 22 starting at noon representatives from the Quilters’ Guild will be quilting in the library.

 Thursday, April 23 starting at noon the Spinners and Weavers will demonstrating their skills.


Wed. April 29 at 6:30 p.m. – Living the Dream

The Millards will continue their journey as they sail through Central America and  the Yujatan. 


Preschool Storytime

Join us for an hour of fun, stories, songs and crafts every Friday at 10:00 a.m. starting on January 16, 2015.  Please register at the library or call 250-498-2242. Remember all library programs are FREE.  


Our Computer Tutors are back!

Computer Tutors help you learn basic computer functions, work with portable devices, set up Internet accounts and so much more and it is FREE! Hours long sessions are available on Wednesday evenings from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. For more information or to book a session please call the branch or check at the circulation desk.


* Friends of the Oliver Library

The Oliver Branch has a very active Friends of the Library group. They hold their Annual Book Blast Sale on the first Saturday of July each year. Donations for their book sale can be dropped off at the Oliver Branch from January to July each year during our open hours or you can call the library to arrange for one of their members to pick up your donations.

The Friends of the Oliver Library are always looking for new members, if you are interested in joining them; please ask at the circulation desk for one of their membership pamphlets.

      Books to Your Door

The Oliver branch’s “Books to Your Door” service is a volunteer program offered by the library that matches homebound readers with a volunteer who will pick up book selections at the library and deliver them. If you would like to be part of this program either as a volunteer or a recipient please call the library for more information.
