The Home Energy Kit helps you take a closer look at how energy is used in your home. With tools designed to measure appliance efficiency and reveal hidden heat loss, this kit makes it easier to understand where energy may be wasted and where improvements can be made.
The kit includes an Energy Monitor to measure the efficiency of household appliances and calculate electricity use over time, as well as a thermal imaging camera that works with the FLIR ONE app on most smartphones. The camera translates invisible heat into colour images, helping identify hot and cold spots in your home where insulation may be missing or air leaks may occur.
Separate kits are available for iOS and Android devices.
This lending program is possible through a partnership with the City of Kelowna and FortisBC.
