How to Request Items

Is the book or item you want not available for you to borrow yet? Place a hold request on it! For most library card types, you can request up to 100 items at a time.

Holds may be placed using several options:

Online

On the library catalogue. View help article.

In person

At your closest library branch. Ask for staff to help you or use the catalogue on library computers.

By telephone

Talk to staff at your closest library branch.

You can receive your hold pickup notices by email? Ask library staff for more details.

If you are going on vacation, or are too busy to borrow library materials at the moment, you can pause your holds and not miss out! Your holds will continue to move up the queue. If you reach the top, your holds will be skipped over but will not be cancelled. Go to your Holds page in your catalogue account to pause your holds, and choose their reactivation date. Library staff will be pleased to provide assistance.
