Summer Reading Club (SRC) at the Armstrong Branch has been a whirlwind of colour, creativity, and clever guesses—and the fun isn’t over yet! From guessing games to art projects to larger-than-life displays, the branch has become a hub of summer activity.
Each week, kids are testing their luck with the Guessing Jars. The challenge? To figure out exactly how many items are tucked inside. The prize? Winning the jar and all the surprises hidden within!
Armstrong’s Butterfly Craft Project has transformed the branch into a bright and joyful gallery. Children and families pick up a paper butterfly or two to decorate at home, then bring them back to add to the ever-growing display. With over 500 butterflies already fluttering on the walls, it’s become a community craft masterpiece.
And for those who love a good hunt, the Rainbow Explorers I Spy Wall has been a huge hit. Each week brings a new handout and a fresh challenge as kids scan the display, count the hidden treasures, and collect prizes.
It’s not too late to join in the excitement! Summer Reading Club registration is still open, so stop by your local ORL branch to sign up, take part in awesome activities, and make your summer reading adventures even more memorable.
