The Okanagan Regional Library’s newest Library of Things item is here: the BatPack Kit. Whether you’re a curious kid, a conservationist, or a family looking for a fun outdoor activity, this kit is your all-access pass to the incredible nocturnal world of bats.
Designed for all ages, the BatPack Kit combines science, fun, and species conservation. Use the included Echo Meter Touch detector to listen to real bat calls in your backyard, identify species, and participate in citizen science by tracking sightings and contributing to local ecology efforts.
The kit also includes a headlamp, tally counter, field guide, books for all reading levels, and everything you need to better understand—and protect—these insect-chomping, sound-sending marvels.
