ParentTV Is Here: Expert Parenting Videos, On Demand

Raising children comes with a lot of questions, and with help from your library the answers are only a few minutes away. The Okanagan Regional Library is pleased to introduce ParentTV, a new Online Resource available to ORL patrons. Think of it as a streaming service for parenting advice, filled with short expert-led videos designed to support parents, caregivers, and families at every stage of childhood, from pregnancy through the teen years.

ParentTV brings together guidance from psychologists, pediatricians, mental health specialists, nutritionists, occupational therapists, and parenting educators from around the world. Their goal is simple: provide clear, practical advice that helps caregivers support the children in their lives.

One of the platform’s most helpful features is its short, accessible video format. Most videos are under 10 minutes long, making it easy to find quick answers to everyday parenting questions.

Explore videos on topics such as:

  • Child development and early learning
  • Behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Mental health and wellbeing
  • Sleep and routines
  • Technology and screen time
  • Nutrition and healthy habits
  • Preparing children for school
  • Parenting through different stages of growth

ParentTV also offers curated video series, interactive courses, expert insights, and activities designed to support both parents and educators. Whether you’re navigating toddler tantrums, helping a child manage anxiety, or preparing for the transition to school, the platform provides practical ideas grounded in research and real-world experience.

Because ParentTV is available online, you can watch videos anytime on your computer, tablet, or smartphone, whenever a question—or a parenting moment—arises. The ORL is proud to add ParentTV to its growing collection of online resources that support learning, wellbeing, and family life in our communities.
