Sunday Hours Return in Vernon and Downtown Kelowna

Good news for weekend readers and learners—Sundays are back at our Vernon and Downtown Kelowna branches!

  • Vernon Branch: Open Sundays from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. Please see our Events Page for program information.

  • Downtown Kelowna Branch: Open Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please see our Events Page for program information.

Sunday hours run through the winter months, offering more opportunities to read, relax, and explore. Looking for a reason to stop by? Browse books, movies, and magazines; enjoy hands-on STEAM activities in our Makerspaces; or bring the family for weekend programs, including our popular LEGO fun for kids. Quiet study rooms, free Wi-Fi, and helpful library staff make Sundays the perfect time to visit.

ORL CEO Danielle Hubbard shared her thanks:

“We’re delighted to reopen both Vernon and Downtown Kelowna branches on Sundays. This is only possible because of the generous support of our municipal partners, including Vernon City Council and the City of Kelowna. Their commitment helps us extend access and welcome more patrons into our libraries each week.”

We look forward to welcoming the Vernon and Kelowna communities back into the library on Sundays!
