Books and Bargains: The Great Okanagan Book Sale is Back!

Love a good book bargain? Then don’t miss the Friends of the Library’s 35th Annual Fall Great Okanagan Book Sale!

A must-stop shop for book lovers of all ages, the sale runs October 15–18 at Immaculate Conception Parish Hall (839 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna). Hours are:

  • Wednesday, 15 October | 2:00–8:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, 16 October & Friday, 17 October | 9:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, 18 October | 9:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m.

Shop thousands of gently used books — from mysteries and romances to literary fiction and children’s favourites — plus large print and audiobooks, puzzles, and games. Payment is easy, with cash and card accepted.

And here’s the best part: attending the Friends of the Library Book Sale does more than build your to-read pile. Proceeds help the Friends support the ORL across Kelowna and beyond, including Summer Reading Club, workshops, and events for all ages.

Want to donate?

Gently used books, puzzles, and games are accepted year-round at the Friends’ sorting base (#114–2476 Westlake Road, West Kelowna) on Fridays, 9:00–11:30 a.m.

Smaller donations can be dropped off at:

  • Okanagan Regional Library Admin Centre (1430 K.L.O. Road, Kelowna)
  • Parkinson Recreation Centre Carpark (Harvey Avenue/1800 Parkinson Way, Kelowna)

Large amounts or boxes should be taken directly to the Westlake sorting base on Friday mornings. Please review the donation criteria before dropping items off.
